Madera brothers Cody and Conner Magnuson will be honored for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony Saturday in Madera.

The brothers joined Boy Scouts when they were 11 years old. Cody, who is a year and a half older than Conner, previously completed his Eagle Scout requirements and is now receiving recognition. All three of their older brothers -- Caleb, Kyle and Kevin -- also attained the rank.

Cody will attend California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in the fall, majoring in electrical engineering. Conner graduated recently from Chawanakee Charter Academy High School and plans to study structural engineering and architecture at a four-year college.

The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at Madera United Methodist Church, 500 Sunset Drive in Madera.
