Grizzlies Report 7/14: Andrew Susac, Heath Hembree gear up for All-Star Game

A day off: The Fresno Grizzlies were idle Monday, the first of a three-day, Pacific Coast League-wide break for the Triple-A All-Star Game.

Shining stars: Catcher Andrew Susac and right-handed reliever Heath Hembree will represent the Grizzlies in Wednesday's All-Star Game, which pits the best players in the PCL against those from the International League. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. from Durham Bulls Electric Park in Durham, N.C. The game will be televised live on the MLB Network.

Statistically speaking: Susac enters the All-Star Game hitting .268 with nine home runs and 30 RBIs in 57 games. Hembree is 1-2 with a 3.65 ERA and 16 saves (second-best in the PCL) in 38 games.

Up next: The Grizzlies open the second half by beginning a four-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Chukchansi Park. Pitchers have not been announced.
