The Fresno BeeJuly 14, 2014

A second motorcyclist involved in an early-morning collision early Sunday morning has died, the Fresno County coroner reported.

The men were identified as Rolando Gonzalez, 20, and Luis Valenzuela-Molina, 21.

The two were traveling west on Olive Avenue at an unknown speed just after 4:30 a.m. when one, riding a 2005 Yamaha, slowed to turn north onto Valentine Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said. The second, on a 2006 Honda, attempted to pass the Yamaha on the right, the CHP said. The two motorcycles collided and the drivers were thrown off.

The Yamaha driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died. It was not immediately clear who was riding each motorcycle.

It's not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
