Two Coalinga residents were arrested Sunday in connection with the theft of a Chevrolet truck from the 700 block of East Valley Street in Coalinga.

Officers were responding to a call about an erratic driver in a Chevrolet truck. The suspects, identified as Abraham Bernez, 26, and Miranda Torres, 19, left the truck in a dirt field near Phelps and Elm Avenues and were later found by police at the Amandako Trailer Park, police said.

The Chevrolet's owner called police to report the vehicle stolen after the suspects were arrested on active warrants.
