The Fresno BeeJuly 11, 2014

Fresnans looking for a pet can adopt one from the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' mobile adoption unit at River Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The adoption fee for dogs and cats is $28.80 through Aug. 31.

All adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccines, deworming, a microchip, a dog license, and flea treatment.

The CCSPCA is attempting to have 2,880 pets adopted this summer as part of the ASPCA Rachel Ray $100K Challenge, a contest in which 50 shelters across the U.S. compete to break their own summer adoption records.

For more information, call the CCPSCA at (559) 233-7722, ext. 107, or visit http://ccspca.com/.
