Three arrested at suspected chop shop by Tulare Co. auto theft task force

Officers from a Tulare County auto theft task force arrested three men Tuesday on suspicion of operating a chop shop at 709 E. Tulare St. in Earlimart.

Miguel Padron, 23, Victor Sanchez, 27, and Jesus Basurto, 38, all of Earlimart, were arrested in the investigation of alleged multiple auto theft violations.

Task force officers found a dismantled 2006 GMC Sierra pickup, which had been reported stolen from Bakersfield, in the suspected chop shop's backyard.
