Hidden weapons found in probation search at Fresno home

Fresno police officers conducting a probation compliance search Thursday seized weapons from hidden compartments at a home west of Highway 99.

A spokesman for the Police Department's Violent Crime Impact Team said the search took place about 12:30 a.m. at a home near Carol and Vassar avenues, near the major streets of Clinton and Valentine avenues.

Officers seized two short-barrelled shotguns, a modified handgun-rifle and a handgun.

Thomas Garcia, 26, a convicted felon and Northside Bulldog gang member, and Jenny Sao, 21, were arrested on suspicion of felony charges and booked into Fresno County Jail, police said.
