Motorcycle rider dies in collision near Kingsburg

A motorcycle rider died in a traffic collision in Tulare County east of Kingsburg, the California Highway Patrol said Thursday.

About 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Hortencia Rebollero, 31, was driving a 2007 Honda west on State Route 201, west of Road 48.

At the same time, Noe Hernandez, 49, of Dinuba was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson east on the road, also known as Avenue 400.

Rebollero turned left toward a business driveway and into the path of the motorcycle, the CHP said. Hernandez was thrown from the motorcyle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision. The case is under investigation.
