SPECIAL TO THE BEE

Police are searching parts of Fresno and Clovis for an elderly woman that went missing about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 168 near Ashlan Avenue.

Cpl. Jim Munro of the Clovis Police Department said that Patsy Martin, 79, was following a family member home when she failed to take the Ashlan exit. Martin requires oxygen for a medical condition and shows early signs of dementia. She recently moved to the Fresno/Clovis area and doesn't know her way around yet.

Martin was last seen driving her 2000 white Toyota Camry. She was wearing an unknown color tank top, tan pants and sandals.

Anyone with information on the disappearance is advised to call the Clovis Police Department at (559) 324-2800.
