An electric car has been donated to Terry's House, where friends and family of critically ill patients at Community Regional Medical Center can stay.

A local businessman will donate an electric car for use by family members or friends of critically ill patients at Community Regional Medical Center on Thursday afternoon in memory of his cousin, who was killed in a car accident.

Brooke Ashjian, CEO of Seal Rite Paving & Grading, will officially donate the car to Terry's House in a small ceremony at 1:20 p.m. Terry's House offers lodging and food to the guests of critically ill hospital patients.

The car, which is valued at $14,000, will shuttle guests to and from the hospital, grocery store, and anywhere else they need to go.
