Let's stand with McClintock

FresnoJuly 8, 2014

Apparently Congressman Tom McClintock is expected to act as a federal real estate agent to ease the loss that investors made in the two parcels of 1,575 acres adjacent to Yosemite National Park.

Pacific Forest Trust and a group of investors purchased these properties for a reason, either to develop or to turn over for profit. This property is adjacent to Yosemite West that has proven to be a real challenge to Mariposa County due to multiple infrastructure problems and water concerns. Accessibility is limited to one way in through the park with high maintenance costs in the winter.

The current tactic is to apply pressure on Rep. McClintock to bail out these bad investments by selling the parcels to the U.S. National Park Service, whose "cookie jar" is full of our tax dollars. Such a move would also remove real taxes from Mariposa.

We are grateful that Tom McClintock guards our interests and protects our rights.

Let's keep Tom in office!
