Highway 180 traffic resumes after suicidal woman removed from bridge

Traffic along westbound Highway 180 was stopped Tuesday evening following a suicide threat by a woman on the Peach Avenue overcrossing.

Drivers were halted shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday because of the woman threatening to jump from the Peach Avenue bridge onto the freeway below.

The woman was removed from the bridge by Fresno City firefighters. She was uninjured but was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, according to Fresno County Emergency Medical Services.
