More California Homebuilding Hall of Famers in Fresno

Posted by BoNhia Lee on July 7, 2014

My apologies to the local California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame inductees that I failed to recognize in a column two weeks ago.

Robert and Karen Bonadelle McCaffrey of McCaffrey Homes were inducted into the Hall of Fame this year joining more than a handful of other local builders who have received the honor.

I already mentioned that Leo Wilson of Wilson Development and Spalding G. Wathen, who was chief executive officer of Wathen Bros., were inductees.

They join the following:

- Joseph A. Farina, founder Westwood Properties, Inc. who was inducted in 1990.

- Anthony D. "Tony" Giannetta, founder of Hallmark Homes who was inducted in 1988.

- Rod DeLuca, founder of Rod DeLuca Development Company Inc. who was inducted in 2007.

- Edward "Dick" Huizenga, builder account manager for North American Mortgage Company who was inducted in 1997.

The foundation has recognized 200 men and women in the building industry since 1985 who epitomize the spirit of the homebuilding industry and are models of public service through their involvement in civic, social and philanthropic organizations.

For a complete list of inductees, visit the Hall of Fame.
