Gas prices in California are already some of the highest in the country. Now the government regulators at the California Air Resources Board want to add another new gas tax. Many people can barely afford to buy gasoline now.
Regulators have confirmed they are working to make gas prices unaffordable so people will drive less. Unfortunately, in a state as big as California, transportation is vital and necessary. This new gas tax will really burden our families and businesses, but also increase the cost of gasoline for school buses and fire trucks. It is not just filling up your tank that will become more expensive; almost all goods in California are trucked to their final destinations.
Please support Assembly Member Henry T. Perea's fight back against the regulators, and put a halt to the new hidden gas tax.
