Rawhide Report for 7/5: Inland Empire 6, Visalia 5

The Fresno BeeJuly 5, 2014

Losing continues: Reliever Kyle Schepel gave up four runs in the eighth as Visalia's losing streak extended to eight games with a 6-5 defeat to the host Inland Empire 66ers in a Cal League game Saturday.

Odd trade: New Rawhide pitcher Joey Krehbiel had to switch clubhouses a few hours before Saturday's game after he was traded from the Los Angeles Angels to the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. "I'm hitting all of them," he joked with Rawhide radio broadcaster Donny Baarns about facing his former team.

Up next: The series ends Sunday, with the first pitch set for 5:05 p.m. Rawhide LH Spencer Arroyo (4-3, 3.86 ERA) will face Inland Empire LH Tyler DeLoach (6-4, 3.80).
