Fresno Grizzlies' Hembree, Susac named to PCL All-Star team

Fresno Grizzlies closer Heath Hembree and catcher Andrew Susac were named to the Pacific Coast League team for the 2014 Cree Triple-A All-Star Game, it was announced Thursday.

The game against the International League stars is July 16 in Durham, N.C., with the Grizzlies' Bob Mariano earlier named as the PCL manager.

Hembree, 25, also selected as a PCL All-Star in 2012, has 15 saves and a 4.05 ERA, with 38 strikeouts in 33 1-3 innings this season. He was rated as the San Francisco Giants' No. 7 preseason prospect by Baseball America. Hembree trails Iowa's Blake Parker, elected to the All-Star squad as a reliever, by three for the PCL lead in saves.

Susac, 24, is an All-Star in his first year at the Triple-A level. He is batting .261 with eight doubles, seven home runs and 25 RBIs. He entered the season rated No. 11 on the Giants' prospect list.
