Visalia police are hunting for a man who tried to rob a Holiday Inn on Wednesday night.

The robbery happened just before midnight. The bandit entered the lobby of the hotel on the 9000 block of Airport Drive, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. However, the register was empty. The suspect fled.

After reviewing surveillance video, police said Thursday afternoon that the suspect may also be linked to additional armed robberies that have taken place in and around Visalia in the past week. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mona Whaley at (559) 713-4211.
