Missing boy, 13, found in Sierra near Florence Lake

Update: The boy has been found, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said Thursday morning.

Original story: A search is on in the Sierra for a 13-year-old boy east of Florence Lake.

Deputies and members of the Fresno County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team went to the area of Hutchinson Meadows about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The boy, who was hiking with his family, was last seen about 11 a.m.

The boy is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. He was wearing black sweatpants, an off-white shirt and a red backpack.
