The Fresno BeeJuly 2, 2014

Walk this way: Zach Vincej opened the top of the ninth inning by drawing a walk, was sacrificed to second by Jeff Gelalich and scored on Juan Perez's single to lift Bakersfield to a 7-6 Cal League victory over Visalia on Wednesday at Rawhide Ballpark.

Keeping them close: Aaron Glenn had a run-scoring double in the fifth and an RBI single in the eighth that briefly tied the score, but it didn't stop the Rawhide from losing their fifth straight.

Up next: Visalia RH Braden Shipley (1-2, 4.97 ERA) faces Bakersfield RH Daniel Wright (4-1, 4.62) as the series concludes at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rawhide head to San Bernardino for four with Los Angeles Angels affiliate Inland Empire starting Friday.
