Clovis High's Hayden Mammen — a Fresno Bee first-team selection last fall — qualified for the U.S. Girls' Junior Golf Championships, shooting a 4-over 75 during a qualifier Monday at Stockton Golf and Country Club.

Mammen placed ninth in a tournament that advanced the top 10 and two alternates.

The championships are July 21-26 at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Mammen was an All-Tri-River Athletic Conference selection, posting a league fourth-best 79.4 average. She tied Bullard's Claire Malley and Clovis West's Keila Takeuchi at 2-under 70 in the North Area Tournament at Madera Municipal Golf Course.

Takeuchi won a sudden death playoff.

Mammen tied for seventh in the Section Individual tournament with an 82 at Madera Golf & Country Club, and shot 81 at the SoCal Regional.
