The Fresno BeeJune 29, 2014

Fresno State instructional designer Mary Bennett was selected by Google as one of 35 educators to participate in the Google Teacher Academy that begins July 30 in Mountain View.

Bennett has been a Fresno State faculty member since 2005. She is the lead instructional designer for Fresno State's online classes and has developed online, self-paced student orientation that has been presented at national conferences.

Google Teacher Academy is a two-day program giving participants hands-on experience with Google products and technologies, teaching new instructional strategies and providing resources to share. When completing the program, participants become Google Certified Teachers and can share what they learned with other educators.
