Tough loss: Visalia rallied to tie in the top of the eighth inning, only to see San Jose go back ahead in the bottom of the eighth for a 7-5 California League victory Saturday night in San Jose.

Beating Bradley: San Jose roughed up reliever J.R. Bradley (2-1) in the eighth on a one-out triple by Ydwin Villegas, Jesus Galindo's RBI single, a balk and Chuckie Jones' RBI double.

Jacobs goes deep: Brandon Jacobs' 11th homer of the season, with Socrates Brito on base in the top of the eighth, tied it 5-5.

Up next: 1 p.m. today at San Jose with Visalia RH Brandon Sinnery (7-5, 5.03) facing Giants LH Joe Kurrasch (5-2, 1.82).
