A teenager wanted in a stabbing that occurred earlier this week was arrested Friday after he attempted to flee a traffic stop and hide in a corn field, police said.

Visalia Police Sgt. Ozzie Dominguez said the suspect, who was only identified as a 15-or-16-year-old juvenile, was a passenger in a car pulled over in the 1500 block of Riverway Drive. Another teenager fled with the stabbing suspect and was arrested on unrelated charges. The driver of the vehicle, Alejandro Retana, 26, was also arrested on unrelated charges.
