A man who police say robbed a woman of her cell phone Tuesday in central Fresno is in custody.

Julian Herman Gonzales, 20, was booked into Fresno County Jail on Thursday. Police say Gonzales walked up to two females near the intersection of Robinson and Arthur avenues (south of Dakota Avenue, east of Fruit Avenue) and asked to use a cell phone. When the woman declined, he allegedly shoved her in the face, snatched the phone and ran east toward Palm and Dakota.

Police caught Gonzales on Thursday.
