The Fresno BeeJune 26, 2014

Police officers are asking for the public's help in locating a man who stole $200 from a Family Christian store at Shaw and Marks avenues in northwest Fresno.

Police described the man as white and thin, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black or tan beanie, black sunglasses, a white T-shirt, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black belt. One witness described him as a man in his 20s or 30s, while another said he looked about 45 to 50 years old.

The suspect claimed to have a gun in the back of his waistband and demanded "all the money," the store's cashier said. The cashier gave the suspect $200 from the cash register. He never actually saw a gun. The suspect ran out of the store and headed eastbound behind Stein Mart.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867.
