'Life is tough — chew harder'

June 24, 2014

People really need to get over themselves. You just don't have the right, let alone even a reasonable expectation, to go through life without being insulted.

You are not special, and the only thing you, or anyone, deserves from life or has coming is a swift, hard kick in the teeth. You are not entitled, not to your welfare, not to your tax breaks, not to your government-subsidized water. You are not entitled to carry a loaded firearm with you at all times. You are not entitled to see every World Cup match or Olympics in English for free on broadcast television.

You know who you are, and if you're insulted by any of this, life is tough — chew harder. As for the Washington Redskins, they should keep their name, just change the logo to a sack of red-skinned potatoes.
