Fresno seminar set for getting state business

The Fresno BeeJune 24, 2014

A free seminar is being held on July 24 from 9 a.m. to noon on how to do business with and market your business to the state government.

SCORE, a nonprofit that focuses on helping small businesses, is hosting the event. It will be located at SCORE's local offices at 801 R St., Suite 201 in Fresno.

The seminar will have guest speakers and teach attendees how to register a business and what organizations small-business owners might want to be a part of. It will also address contractor awards and registration as well as how to market a small business to state agencies and the benefits of doing so.

Those interested can register at www.centralvalleyscore.org or by calling (559) 487-5791.

The reporter can be reached at (510) 220-8458, htraceynoren@fresnobee.com or @HtraceyNoren on Twitter.
