Homeless veterans summit set for Friday in Clovis

The Fresno BeeJune 24, 2014

The VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS) will host a Homeless Veterans Summit on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Auditorium. The summit will bring together community partners to develop a plan for addressing the needs of Fresno veterans who are either homeless or at-risk of homelessness.

At the summit, VA officials will talk about new initiatives and provide updates on VA benefits and homeless program services. Participants will attend roundtable discussions to share ideas and concerns about their communities' efforts to reduce homelessness in the veteran population.

The VA hopes to eradicate veteran homelessness by the end of 2015. For more information about the VA's goal to end veteran homelessness by 2015, visit www.va.gov/homeless.
