A lot of hits: Though the Visalia Rawhide amassed 12 hits and got home runs from Steve McQuail and Socrates Brito, they still could not keep up with the Bakersfield Blaze and lost 8-5. Darrah disastrous: Rawhide starting pitcher Jesse Darrah, formerly of Fresno Pacific, took the loss. He was roughed up for seven runs off nine hits before his removal with no outs in the fifth inning.

Up next: The teams will play the third and final game of the series today with the first pitch at 7:45 p.m. Rawhide RH Brandon Sinnery (7-5, 5.17) is scheduled to face Blaze RH Drew Cisco (4-2, 5.86).
