A northeast Visalia home was destroyed in a fire early Monday morning.
Visalia Fire Battalion Chief Darrin Hughes said the fire broke out just before 1 a.m. at the home on Stover Street just south of Houston Avenue. The fire was contained in 20 minutes and firefighters rescued two dogs. No one was home at the time of the fire.
One firefighter sustained a minor burn injury to his left hand, but did not require medical attention.
The property was estimated at $80,000 and was a total loss, along with its contents estimated at $10,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
