Brush fire prompts closure of ramp from Highway 41 to 180 in Fresno

A brush fire Sunday afternoon prompted closure of a highway ramp connecting southbound Highway 41 with westbound Highway 180 in central Fresno.

Smoke was apparently causing vehicles to slow or stop near the ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log.

The Fresno Fire Department has been called to extinguish the blaze, which was first reported about 5:37 p.m. Sunday.

No other details were immediately available.
