A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday evening in a crash with a vehicle on Cornelia Avenue just south of Ashlan Avenue, Fresno police said.

Police said the vehicle was a black sedan, driven by a woman.

The motorcyclist was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor, said Lt Phil Cooley of the Fresno police department. Cooley said Cornelia could be closed for several hours.
