A southwest Fresno gang member was arrested Thursday night after officers smelled marijuana wafting from his car, police said.

The odor led to a search of the vehicle at Hammond Avenue and First Street and the discovery of a loaded .380 caliber handgun under a floor mat of the vehicle, police said.

Daman Andrews, 40, was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
