Man held on gun charge after southeast Fresno burglary try reported

A self-described gang member was arrested early Thursday with a loaded handgun while trying to break into a home in southeast Fresno, police reported.

The incident was reported about 3:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of East McKenzie Street after officers received a 911 call.

Four men were spotted walking away from the area and were detained, Sgt. Tony Bustos said. Edward Page, 24, was carrying the .38 caliber revolver. Page, who has felony convictions, was booked on charges of being a felon in possession of the weapon.
