Rawhide Report for 6/18: Visalia wraps up All-Star break

Back to work: Visalia and the rest of the Cal League enjoyed the last of the four-day All-Star break Wednesday. The Rawhide (36-34) finished third in the Cal League North first-half race, nine games behind divisional champ Bakersfield. Visalia is second in the 10-team Cal League in ERA (4.18) and strikeouts (595).

Up next: The Rawhide begin the second half of the season by hosting the San Jose Giants for four games, with the opener at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visalia is scheduled to send RH Brandon Sinnery (7-4, 5.51 ERA) against RH Joe Biagini (3-4, 3.96). Sinnery has been pounded in two June starts, allowing 16 hits and 15 runs (14 earned) in eight innings. Biagini, an ex-UC Davis star, was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 26th round of the 2011 draft.
