Sunnyside Country Club head pro Steve Pellegrine and Kenny Collins of Ridge Creek Golf Club will compete at the PGA Professional National Championship, set for Sunday through June 25 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"It is quite an honor to represent our more than 100-year-old club in this prestigious event in my first year as the head golf professional," Pellegrine said in a news release from Sunnyside.

Pellegrine and Collins finished third and fifth, respectively, at the Northern California PGA Professional Championship in July to qualify for the 47th national championship

Pellegrine shot a two-day total of 140 and Collins a 146 at Mayacama GC in Santa Rosa. Ripon's Don Winter won in a playoff.

The 47th PGA Professional National Championship is June 22-25, 2014, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported that Pellegrine was believed to be the only qualifier in the 312-man field from central California.
