Visalia police: Home invasion victim was running drug lab

The Fresno BeeJune 17, 2014

Visalia police said the victim of a home invasion was booked on narcotics charges early Tuesday after officers discovered he was operating a drug lab in his house.

Police Sgt. Ozzie Dominguez said officers went just after midnight to the 1000 block of North Parkwood Court, where they were told two masked men forced their way into the home and tried to steal cash.

Guillermo Vasquez, 18, was pistol-whipped by the suspects and sustained minor injuries. Officers then found concentrated cannabis, cocaine and paraphernalia used for making the drugs, Dominguez said.

Vasquez was booked into the Tulare County jail.
