Fresno woman shot during argument between gang members

Fresno police are investigating a shooting after a Bulldog gang member showed up at Community Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound in the leg Monday afternoon.

The 31-year-old victim showed up with her husband about 4 p.m. and said 33-year-old Steven Gonzales shot her, Fresno police Lt. Joe Gomez said.

The couple, both self-admitted Bulldog gang members, said they were at their home in the 4600 block of East Montecito Avenue when Gonzales and the victim's husband began arguing. Gonzales grabbed a gun and shot twice, they said. One of the shots hit the victim, but police said it is not clear whether he shot at the victim or her husband.

Gonzales is wanted for assault with a firearm, Gomez said.
