One man was shot in the leg Sunday night in northwest Fresno, police said.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, officers were sent to the 4300 block of West Cardiff Avenue, where they found the victim. He was conscious but would not provide information to police, Lt. Joe Gomez said. However, a witness reported hearing four gunshots and saw a 2000 Chevrolet Impala speed away.

Gomez said it is not clear if the car was associated with the gunfire.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was in stable condition. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
