Visalia police: Man held in string of robberies

A man believed to be responsible for repeated armed robberies in Visalia was arrested Sunday night, police said.

Sgt. Ozzie Dominguez said Visalia police responded to an armed robbery call around 7:45 p.m. at the Marco Polo Motel, 4545 W. Noble Ave. The victim said a man robbed him at gunpoint, and detectives eventually arrested Terrance Johnson, 20, on suspicion of robbery.

Dominguez said that Johnson is believed to be responsible for several other similar robberies in Visalia. The investigation is continuing.
