Farm Bill workshop planned June 25 in Fresno

The Fresno BeeJune 13, 2014

A government-run workshop this month will focus on regulation changes coming because of the 2014 federal Farm Bill.

It was approved in February, and many agricultural changes can take full effect beginning Oct. 1.

The California Farm Bureau Federation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture will present workshops statewide. In Fresno, four USDA agencies will present about new opportunities and changes on June 25 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Fresno County Farm Bureau office, 1274 W. Hedges Ave.

Most workshops are free and open to the public. Presenters will provide one-on-one assistance to attendees, according to the USDA.
