Girl Scouts once again offer early-bird prices for golf tournament

The Fresno BeeJune 12, 2014

On Friday, Girl Scouts of Central California South will bring back early-bird prices for the 17th annual Cookie Classic Golf Tournament. This one-day sale, in honor of Father's Day, is the last chance for golfers to sign up for the early bird price.

Early bird prices are $135 for an individual and $540 for a foursome compared to $150 for an individual golfer and $600 for a foursome.

The Cookie Classic Golf Tournament takes place Sept. 12 at the Riverbend Golf Club in Madera. Lunch and dinner will be served by Tahoe Joe's.

Proceeds generated through the tournament provide girls from at-risk communities an opportunity to be a Girl Scout through the Girl Scout Connect Program. This allows them to develop leadership skills and community values through practical life-teaching programs.

The registration deadline is Aug. 15. For more information or to register, go to http://www.girlscoutsccs.org/cookie-classic/.
