Burn-injured children enjoy Camp Champ at Wonder Valley Ranch

The Fresno BeeJune 10, 2014

This year marks the 29th annual Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation Camp Champ for burn-injured children ages 5-16 at Wonder Valley Ranch.

About 120 kids from all over the United States and Mexico are in the middle of a week filled with various summer camp activities including a ropes course, fishing, arts and crafts and archery.

The camp provides a safe place for burn-injured children to get away from unwanted attention associated with being burned and become part of a loving and supportive family atmosphere among others who share similar experiences.

The Fresno Bee is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
