Two Bulldog gang members arrested with weapons

Two Bulldog gang members were arrested early Tuesday morning with weapons and ammunition, said Lt. Mark Salazar of the Fresno Police Department's Street Violence Gun Crime Unit.
Nicholas Ramirez, 23, was arrested at his home in central Fresno for possessing a loaded .38 handgun and ammunition. Anthony Hernandez, 34, was arrested at his home in southeast Fresno for possessing a loaded .44 magnum pistol and a loaded pistol grip shotgun.
In 2014, the Gun Crime Unit has recovered 76 firearms, authored 49 search warrants and entered 50 gang homes.
The focus of the Gun Crime Unit is to apprehend gang members who are convicted felons and who possess firearms.
