Ruiz 4 Kids awards 29 scholarships to Valley high school students

Ruiz 4 Kids, a nonprofit arm of Dinuba-based Ruiz Foods, announced that it has awarded $334,000 in scholarships this spring to 245 students, including 29 with ties to the central San Joaquin Valley.

All scholarship money is raised via the annual Louis F. Ruiz Golf Invitational. Since 1985, Ruiz 4 Kids has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships.

The Valley scholarship recipients: Brianna Anaya, Sierra Pacific High School; Victoria Arias, Buchanan; Madeline Barney of Fresno, Cate School in Carpenteria; Khyri Brown, Edison; Tristan Chester, University High; Cody Maita, Summit Charter, Porterville; Tomas Espinoza, Sierra Pacific; Amanda Estrada, Firebaugh; Marilyn Estrada, Firebaugh; Aubree Facio, Clovis High; Ana Karen Garcia Martinez, Riverdale; Denivie Garivay, Corcoran; Marlon Gonzalez, Harmony Magnet, Strathmore; Kylene Hashimoto, Clovis High; Joseph Ikeda, Clovis East; Craig Kampen of Visalia, Central Valley Christian; Naoko Lile-Jackson, University; Omar Lopez Jr., Firebaugh; Paige McConnaughy, San Joaquin Memorial; Matthew Mello, Exeter; Jose Miranda Contreras, Tranquillity; Audrey Oliva, Mendota; April Olivas, San Joaquin Memorial; Giovanni Pacheco, Design Science, Fresno; Karina Perez, Firebaugh; Paula Rangel, San Joaquin Memorial; Ricardo Rodriguez Baeza, Mendota; Jose Sandoval, Mendota; and Stephanie Tran, Clovis North.
