Orange Cove man faces charges in drive-by shooting

An Orange Cove man has been taken into custody in connection with a drive-by shooting in May and faces attempted murder charges, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office reported.

Fabian Ramos Ramirez Jr., 47, was arrested Monday in Dinuba. He is a suspect in the May 11 shooting near East Railroad Avenue and D Street in Orange Cove, according to sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice.

The victim is still recovering from injuries.

A second suspect, Javier Serna Alcantar, 21, is at large. Alcantar, also known as "Gallo," is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Curtice said he may be in Dinuba or Sultana in Tulare County. A red 2007 Dodge Charger is also sought by detectives.
