Plane's wheel collapses as it lands at Visalia airport

The front landing gear of a Fresno-based private plane collapsed Monday morning, forcing closure of the runway at Visalia Municipal Airport.

The accident occurred as the two-engine plane landed about 10:50 a.m. The two people aboard the plane were not injured, the Visalia Fire Department said.

The plane was towed off the runaway about an hour after the accident.
