Police investigate homicide in southeast Fresno

Police investigate a man's homicide in southeast Fresno on Friday, June 6, 2014.

Fresno police are investigating a homicide at the Torrey Ridge Apartments on 240 S. Clovis Ave. in southeast Fresno, Sgt. Mike Smith of the Fresno Police Department said.

The shooting was reported at 6:32 p.m. Officers found a middle-aged male of unknown race with multiple gunshot wounds. They attempted CPR but pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Smith said one person of interest has been detained and several children are also in protective custody while police attempt to locate their families.
