L'Alliance Française de Fresno awards Valley scholarships

L'Alliance Française de Fresno has awarded five scholarships to Valley high school and university students.

Alicia Valle, a California State University, Fresno student, was awarded the $1,500 Betty Peterson Scholarship and plans to pursue a Ph.D in French.

Stephani Anderson of Sanger High School will attend the University of California at Santa Barbara this fall and plans to be a pediatrician. Jovanna Garcia of Sunnyside High will attend UCLA and will major in Business Administration.

Laurel Kinman of Fresno High will attend Wellesley College in Massachusetts and plans to be a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. Tierney Pretzer of Mariposa County High will attend Duke University in North Carolina and plans to pursue a career in the medical field.
