San Joaquin Valley Town Hall awards three scholarships

The Fresno BeeJune 5, 2014

Three Fresno-area high school students have each received $500 scholarships from the San Joaquin Valley Town Hall organization.

Jonathan Jalomo, from Duncan Polytechnic High School, Jasmin Ledesma-Villa, from Roosevelt High School, and Baylee Dias, from The Center For Advanced Research and Technology, are the recipients this year. Each student attended one of the Town Hall's lectures during the 2014 season.

In the fall, Jalomo will attend Fresno Pacific University, Ledesma-Villa will attend the University of California at Santa Cruz and Dias will attend California State University, Fresno.

Valley Town Hall has awarded scholarships to students for the past four years and admits all Valley high school and university students to its Wednesday daytime lectures without charge. The organization will be entering its 78th season this year.
